Welcome

Hi, welcome to my homepage. I am a full professor International Business at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. My research interests are in the fields of international business, comparative economic organization theory, and economic geography. After receiving my Phd from Tilburg University (The Netherlands) in 2003, I spent a year abroad as a visiting scholar, then worked at Nijmegen University on a three year National Science Foundation grant. In this period I have been a visiting scholar at Copenhagen Business School, Bocconi University and Vienna University of Economics and Business.

I moved to Groningen in 2009 where I served as the head of department for two years, and I currently serve as the academic director of the International Business bachelor program.

My research concentrates on three main areas.

1. Culture, institutions and economic performance

2. Globalisation and the geography of the multinational firm

3. Innovation, geography and institutions
